This tree trunk is a great illustration of marriage. Two separate trees have fused together and become one. The only way to separate them would be to cut them apart ….. which would leave them both raw and wounded. Marriage is definitely not for the weak or faint hearted. It demands selflessness ….. perseverance ….. and love, love, love! To those who have already been through a separation or divorce ….. God is the healer. To those struggling in a difficult marriage ….. God is the enabler. To those not yet married ….. put God first and let Him bring your future partner. As my Dad used to say ….. “Do it once and do it right!”
