Do you ever feel like you are taking one step forward and three steps backward? Don’t worry ….. you are not alone! I left Asaph lying on his back on the blanket yesterday while I made a cup of tea. Next minute he was wedged under the chair! Babies often crawl backwards first. It’s all about their development. Their arms develop strength before their legs ….. and so they push and move backwards. But eventually ….. they ‘find their legs’ ….. and there’s no stopping them! So moving backwards is a sign of development and progress even though it may not seem like it at the time. You too ….. are strengthening muscles and character you didn’t know you had!
“….. but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”Romans 5:3-4
